At Molmic we celebrate a very personal milestone this year.
30 years of designing and manufacturing in our hometown Melbourne,
as we continue our vision of making the most loved sofas in Australia.
How did Molmic begin? It has been an incredible three decades for founders Molly and Michael McMahon. The inspiration to start in furniture manufacturing came about by chance,
a combination of Molly’s background in children’s clothing and Michael’s technical engineering skills. They wanted to create a business together, embark on a new adventure which would ultimately bring with it many new challenges and see lots of change over the years.
Molmic is as much about family as it is furniture.
The Molmic family extends beyond its founders Molly & Michael and the second generation of children Anna, Alex, Anthony and John. It embraces the talented, loyal and dedicated craftspeople, admin, customer service and sales people who have been on the journey as part of the team since our first day of business.
